What we collect, why we collect it, and who else can see it.

This describes what Sangar Tech does with your information. It is written against what the site actually stores, not against a template.

What we collect

Your account. Email address, and the name, phone number and profile picture you choose to add. Also your preferred language and whether you asked for marketing email.
Your delivery address. Name, optional company, street, city, province, postal code, country and a contact phone number.
Your orders. What you bought, the prices at the time, the delivery address as it was when you ordered, your email and phone, any note you left for us or the courier, and the payment method and status. Invoices keep their own copy, so an old invoice does not change when you edit your address.
Your reviews. The rating and text you write, and whether you bought the product. Reviews appear publicly with your first name and last initial.
Payment records. The reference and status our payment provider returns. We do not receive or store card numbers.
Technical records. Server logs and security records, which include your IP address and are used to keep the site running and to rate limit abuse. Staff actions are recorded in an internal audit log.

What we do not collect

Card numbers, security codes or bank credentials. The payment page belongs to our provider.
Advertising or cross-site tracking data. There are no advertising cookies on this site.
Anything about you bought from data brokers or taken from social networks.

Why we hold it

To take, deliver and invoice your order, and to answer you when you contact us about it.
To keep your account working and to let you sign in again.
To keep the records a business is expected to keep, such as invoices.
To keep the shop secure and available.
To send marketing email, only if you asked for it. You can stop that at any time.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers, and each receives only what it needs to do its part.

Our hosting and analytics provider, which runs the site and reports page performance in aggregate.
Google Analytics, which reports how the shop is used: pages viewed, products viewed and orders placed. It receives the order number, the products and the amount, and never your name, email address, phone number or address.
Our database and sign-in provider, which stores your account and this shop's data.
Our file storage provider, which holds product and profile images.
Our email provider, which delivers order and account email.
Our rate-limiting provider, which sees request counts.
Our payment provider, when you pay online.
The courier who brings your parcel, who needs your name, address and phone number.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

How long we keep it

Orders and invoices are kept as business records, including after an account is closed.
When you close your account it stops being usable and your personal details are detached from it. The orders remain, because an invoice has to stay reconcilable.
Server and security logs are short-lived.

What you can do

See and change your details from your account pages at any time.
Close your account from Account, then Security.
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
Turn marketing email off, either from your account or from the link in the email.

Children

This shop is meant for adults buying components. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
